MENTAL ''MENTAL CHURCHILL'' STATUE UNVEILED IN NORWICH TOWN CENTRE

Is it just me or does he look like Hannibal Lector?
Apparently Churchill's bouts of depression were so bad they had to strap him into a straitjacket now and again. Give that man a cigar.
Well, when he's calmed down. And you've undone his straps.

I love it. He has to be seen as he was, a great man for sure, saved the UK no doubt. Mad as horse yes! Mad people are great. Im a mental health nurse, never surprises me that people with mental health problems can make powerful leaders. Mind you I once worked with a bloke who was high up in business, who told me that he had an eye in his vagina and that his dog told him to stick knives in his wifes neck. His cure, line dancing.

I like it too steve but as a marketing plan it's fucked. Though this challenges the prejudice of those it seeks to change, all it's actually done is make ''Britain's Greatest Ever Whatever He Was'' in that massive BBC poll look like - and you'll excuse my non pc shorthand her - a nutter. To do what he did maybe you had to be, but unfortunately at present that's at best the debate its generated amongst a few liberals. Among those that it seeks to inform the reaction is ''I don't like it'' - and unfortunately that's the problem when you use art rather than a clear message to get across what you're talking about.
Big up the churchill nutter statue... but I think we're the only ones saying it and we made not have needed converting..
