UPDATE: TOP TEN BRITISH FUNERAL SONG CHART - NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED IN THREE YEARS

OK, so even though I once worked for ITV, I should admit that this poll is taken from Scottish funerals in 2009 - but I think that it counts as an update to this post in 2006. I've put the chart position changes on this one:

My Way - Frank Sinatra/Shirley Bassey <1> Stays at number one. (though Shirley Bassey wasn't mentioned last time, but it's still the tops)
Wind Beneath My Wings - <2> Stays at number two. Bette Midler/Celine Dion (again, Celine Dion is starting to eat Bette Midler's wake snacks. But we'll take it)
Time To Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli ^6^ Up 6. A big climber for the world's most talented pug)
Angels - Robbie Williams v1v - Down one. I appreciate now I should have done this countdown from 10. Robbie's perfect death mask slips, just a little.
Over The Rainbow - Eva Cassidy ^3^ Up three. Eva Cassidy finally gets way up high in the charts.
You Raise Me Up - Westlife/Boyzone/Josh Grobin NEW ENTRY - Jesus Christ.
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion v3v Down three. Looks like people have finally understood the irony of this funeral gaff.
I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston v2v Down two. Too many drug deaths for a junkie choral send off means Whitney's heading for a top ten exit.
You'll Never Walk Alone - Gerry and the Pacemakers v7v Liverpool isn't getting any bigger.
Unforgettable - Nat King Cole NEW ENTRY - A surprise new entry, but again proving that you're never to old to see yourself back in the top ten. Although you may be dead, and your fans certainly are.
